Imperfect people are important to God. The truth is, imperfect people are the only kind He has. God is on a mission in Austin today. He loves people. Jesus is interested in the problems and cares of people, not in the way they dress and not in their address. Imperfect people come in all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. The thing all people have in common is the brokenness we struggle to understand and overcome. Most of us would desire not to be broken, (especially in the ways we hurt ourselves and others), many of us simply don’t see religion providing the help we need. Yet, in the words and life of Jesus, we still see hope. The idea that Jesus Christ is on mission to renew the dysfunctional lives of anyone who comes to Him is clear from His teachings, His care for people and in His earthly walk with His Father. His crucifixion, death and resurrection bring His commitment to imperfect people into clearest focus. ecclesia austin is a gathering of people who are recognizing Jesus mission in Austin. That means Jesus is reshaping our imperfect daily lives and the lives of those we meet. The word ecclesia means gathering or in english,Church. That’s why it’s called ecclesia, because Jesus has begun to renew and mend our brokenness so we gather to thank Him, hear His Words and bless other imperfect people we find here in Austin. You are invited to come with this ecclesia as we join Jesus on His Mission to engage this community and love the imperfect people He loves daily.
